Eggstra special day at church

Good times was had by all...

Thank you Mrs. Nancy & Mrs Helen for all of the hard work that went into putting such a fun event togather.

Leslie the live bunny was a hit!!

I personally enjoyed all of the kids running and trying to get ALL the eggs.
It was a gorgeous day for the egg hunt, bright and clear sunny a little breezy. Perfect!!

I especially liked that Mrs. Nancy made sure to let the cows across the road know that we were about to pray and they should quiet down, unfortunatly she forgot to tell Aidden... LOL he was chatting up a storm and I had to get a little tickled as I heard Brandy and Jay quietly trying to shush him.

Another memorable moment for me as I'm sure it was memorable for the rabbit as well, is when Alana was getting her turn with the bunny. Reminded me of that old cartoon were the little girl says,"I'll love him and rub him and stroke him to the bunny, as the bunny clearly looks like it is in some considerable pain." oh well you know the old song, LOVE HURTS!!
Besides are those ears really meant to stay attached to the bunny forever?

All of the kids young and old had such a wonderful time. Thanks agian to those of you who worked so hard to make it such a special day...

We loved it and we love you

That's all for now check out my future...

Prom 2008

Prom 2008
Bethany was an angel...
I enjoyed so much spending the day with her. Patches done an amazing job on her hair and Lindsey is an artist with makeup...
She had her hair and makeup done at New Image Salon. We have always had a real good expeirence when we use them. They are locally owned and operated and just down right good people.
After Bethany had her makeover and hair we rushed home so that she could get bathed and dressed. Her sisters Brandy & Amber came over and we took some pictures. I think they found it as hard to believe as Jay and me that "the baby" was going to her junior prom. Were do the years go?
After Brandy & Amber left we off to Bethany's friend Mallory's house for more pictures. Bethany and Mallory have been friends since elementary school. Mallory was beautiful all decked out in a turqoise blue gown with sequins.
We met Bethany's brother and his wife at Pizza Hut for some good ole fashioned junk food. Pizza, wings and breadsticks. They are both so sweet and brought Bethany white roses. I'm sure that was a sweet surprise for her.
It was nice to spend some time with them we haven't really seen them since thier wedding about 1 1/2 years ago. Dinner was great.
After dinner Bethany was off for a fun time at the prom with all of her friends.
On Sunday afternoon, when we had a chance to talk on the way to the movies she told me all about what fun she had. Sounds like they really had a good night, but her and her friends had all been very safe and smart not to get out into some of the mischief that tends to accompany these types of events.
We were very proud of her and for her.
High school days seem to last forever but those of us who have already been there and done that know all to well that they are gone to quick.
Good advice that was given on prom night came from her brother, he told her to slow down and enjoy every minute. I don't think I could have said it any better my self.
That's all for now on this subject, but check out my future...

5 Generations

What a wonderful day Sunday was. I had the opportunity to take my mom 2 of my daughters and my grandaughter to visit my grandmother.
Mom always looks forward to going to see her mom, although she doesn't get an opportunity to visit as much as she would like.
On the way to Alabaster, it's about an hour drive Momma, me and the 2 girls talked and sang and laughed. It's not something we get to do with each other very often now that all my kids are grown or at least very close to grown, (that point depends on who's perspective your talking about.)
Once we got to the nursing home we hauled the baby and all of the baby stuff out of the car and found our way to grandmas room. She was sleeping and very pleased to see that she had company when mom ask her,"if she was going to sleep all day?" I kinda had to laugh with mom being the one asking that question. (Don't tell her but thats what we all say about her is that she sleeps all the time.)
Once we reminded grandma who all of us were agian we had a very nice visit. Grandma gets a little confused so ever once in awhile we did have to remind her who some of us were.
She loved meeting Alana her Great Great Grandaughter. She just got a kick out of her little expressions. Alana loved her Great Great Grandma too. She especially loved all of grandmas babies, one imparticular that had the perfect little head for knawing.
Of course Grandma tried to get us to take some of the dolls home with us since she said her kids never played with them anymore.
We took some pictures of Alana Grace with Great Great grandma and we took the picture that is at the top of todays entry that I will forever treasure.
my grandaughter, my daughter, myself, my mom, and my grandma.
5 generations... It was a special time for me as I'm sure it was for my mom and Amber.
Once it was time to leave, grandma told me quickly, I didn't visit enough, she is absolutly right!!
I promised to do better about coming by and I hope to try to get there at least every 3 or 4 months.
We said our goodbyes and left to meet moms sister or as I have always so lovingly called her AUNT Donna and some of her friends who we have adopted as part of our family, or did they adopt us? Oh well I guess that point is unimportant. The important thing is we met them for lunch.
It was a wonderful little Mexican place. The food was good the service was great!!
We had a nice long lunch and then went back to Aunt Donna's house for a short visit. Time was flying and before long it was time to hit the road so we could all get home and ready for a new week.
It was a wonderful day!
Life is good!
Family is the most important thing!
Time is precious!
Count your blessings! and by that I'm not only talking about good things, I'm talking about lessons you've learned and hard times that you have perservered through.
Joys that you can still feel in your heart as well as the sorrows that somedays still break your heart, That is the tapestry that you call your life.
Thats all for now but, check out my future...

Not very productive Wednesday

I'm back...

Did ya miss me?

So far today I have been completly unproductive. I've been at work almost 2 hours and managed to not actually work at all.

I've got to get moving and accomplish something!

Jay had dinner with Brandy, Josh & Aidden last night. Every time he goes over for dinner when he gets home I always ask , "did you enjoy your dinner?', he ALWAYS responds, "yes it was good, That Aidden it so cute let me tell you what he did tonight."

I always look forward to hearing about it because you can see the joy that Jay has as he is telling me about whatever it was that made such an impression...

Grandkids are the BEST!!

Weigh in last night was great! I lost 2 more pounds so that makes a total of 25 pounds since Jan. 3rd. Not bad if I do say so myself.

Life is good, not perfect but I don't think it is supposed to be perfect I'll take Good any day.

Have a great day. Check out my future

Happy Birthday Mom & John!!!
I can't believe it's Monday already, What happened to the weekend?
Today is my moms birthday & my son in laws birthday. We had a cookout yesterday with way to much food. It was just a good ole fashion cookout, hamburgers with all the fixins, Baked beans chips, dip & of course cake & ice cream.
All the kids had a great time outside. The weather was perfect @74 degrees and sunny. I bet I walked 2 miles in the backyard pulling Kayla.
Aidden came out right at the end and took a turn in the wagon, for some reason they always want to go up the hills, Nonna just says NO to hills!!
Both grandbabies stayed over Saturday night, it was so much fun. Bath time was interesting because Aidden is VERY BUSY!!
Jay and I both enjoyed playing, bathing them and chasing Aidden, We also enjoyed BED TIME...
Sunday night we both slept GOOD.
If you notice the picture above with Alana Grace knocked out, I just want to say in my defense, that shopping with Nonna is not for ametures. Alana Grace is in training and I'm very sure then given just a little time she will be able to hang with us veterns.
besides the good times with family this weekend we were also blessed with a reason to call the "MAYTAG MAN" our fridge went out...
Oh well it's only money... "Mr. Maytag came out and looked it over today and collected an arm & a leg then told me the parts will be in Thursday or Friday and he will be back to fix it then. You can imagine the joy in my heart as I wrote him a check for the parts in order to wait 3 or 4 days to get the fridge back and write him the labor check!!
One thing I know is that big girls get a little concerened when the fridge is on the blink :)
Well I guess thats all for now, I'll post in a day or two when theres something new.
Until then....
Check out my future
